One of the unique aspects is our emphasis on Self reassurance. We want the children to learn that basics of feeling confident to have a go at things, to be resilient, to be kind to others and to be believe in themselves. We do this by praise, encouragement and by building strong bonds.

The pre-school has 2 large outdoor spaces, where the children have the opportunity to play and explore in a natural environment, which helps to develop their gross motor skills and appreciation for nature. We also organises regular nature walks and outdoor activities! This allows the children to learn about the world around them while having fun.

In addition to outdoor play, we also offer a variety of indoor activities. The pre-school has a well-stocked art and craft area, where the children can express their creativity and develop their fine motor skills. There is also a cozy reading corner, filled with a wide selection of books for children of all ages to enjoy. We have an amazing home corner that is a real home from home and a music area for all our budding musicians. We also offer music and movement sessions, which are not only fun but also help in the development of language and coordination skills.

In addition to our wonder setting we also offer other activities such as forest School on a weekly basis, yoga sessions (provided by a registered company) and weekly sports activities (provided by a registered company). These extra-curricular activities are great for the children to learn new skills, develop new interests and allow children to try things that they may not get to at other settings. 

Kennington Pre-school places great importance on social and emotional development. The children are encouraged to interact and play with their peers, learning important social skills such as sharing, taking turns, and working together. We also has a strong focus on emotional well-being, with staff trained in supporting children's emotional needs. This creates a warm and nurturing environment where children feel safe and supported to express their emotions.

Our local community is very important to us and because of this Kennington Pre-school has strong community involvement. We regularly organise events and activities that involve parents and other members of the community. This not only strengthens the bond between us and the community but also provides valuable learning opportunities for the children at a young age. With our own little fundraising committee consisting of a handful of 2-4 year older we also support local charities and participates in fundraising events, teaching the children the importance of giving back to the community. 

We are much more than just a place for children to play. We are a nurturing setting with a stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and develop important skills that will prepare them with the foundation for their future educational journey.
